“A mother’s joy begins when new life is stirring inside… when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone.“
— Author Unknown
“Pregnant women! They had that weird frisson, an aura of magic that combined awkwardly with an earthy sense of duty. Mundane, because they were nothing unique on the suburban streets; ethereal because their attention was ever somewhere else. Whatever you said was trivial. And they had that preciousness which they imposed wherever they went, compelling attention, constantly reminding you that they carried the future inside, its contours already drawn, but veiled, private, an inner secret.”
— Ruth Morgan
“Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak, and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.”
Douglas McArthur

Wow I love that cradle!
You have a GOOD father!
My Husband Made a cradle for us as well. Our last baby has just moved out of it. It will double as a toy chest from now on.
You’re not big at all. My belly’s bigger and I’m only 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant. And I’m not carrying twins, even though complete strangers like to ask me that.
How exciting! You look wonderful.
You look great! I am 24 weeks, and much bigger (pregnant with #6). Do you know what you are having?
You look GREAT and so tiny. WOW!!! My 20 week picture will definitely not look that great. BTW – your baby ticker says you are 21 weeks and 1 day! 🙂

Hey, I am 21 weeks 😉 I forgot,I wrote this post last week! Time is ticking….
You look so lovely! Your father is so talented. What a beautiful family heirloom!
The crib is so sweet! I love furniture that’s been handed down through the family or made by someone in the family!
Did your father say if it was difficult to build? I know it’s not very feminine, but I really like -attempting- to make furniture. So far I’ve managed a table. 🙂

You look BEAUTIFUL! I have 4 weeks left and am feeling very pregnant now-the first 7 1/2 months I sailed through. I’ve posted a give-away memory scripture program you might appreciate-please check it out if you have time:) Amanda
You look adorable!! Nowhere NEAR big, what on earth are you talking about?! LOL…and what a pretty background for the picture, are those curtains? Your dad is certainly talented as well, what a special keepsake. 🙂
What a wonderful heirloom you have there in that crib. God-willing, one day your grandchildren will be put to sleep in it. What a lovely thought!
Kelly, you look just wonderful. I don’t think you’re big. I looked the same at 20 weeks, and that was my first.
You are so cute Kelly! I love Preggy pictures. 😀
I love that cradle!!!
I am hoping one of my boys will pick up that talent.
That cradle is absolutely beautiful! One of these days, when our current bassinet gives out, I want to find a traditional wooden cradle made by Amish folk. They know how to build things well!
Kelly, you are NOT big! People look at me and think I’m due next month! 🙁 (I’m 24 weeks as of tomorrow!)
My hubby’s father made a cradle for our first, and all ours have slept in it, too! (Some longer than others! LOL) Very special.
How fun! I love the cradle. I just entered my third trimester, and I am feeling huge–not in a bad way, just kind of uncomfortable. You are definitely glowing. Pregnancy suits you.

Lol! Y’all are too kind…maybe I’m just feeling big…or maybe I sucked in for the picture 😉
(Or maybe I photo shopped it to make me look skinnier)…
No matter…I really love being pregnant, until the eight month, and then I start to whine. I know I shouldn’t, but I do.
Oh no, one of those ‘stay-the-same-size-while-pregnant’ women ;o)
I always grew like a cow. I think I looked pregnant at 4 weeks. seriously. my greatest acheievement was during my second pregnancy, where i only gained 40 pounds, instead of my usual 75.
Kelly,
Lady, you look the same size as I do now (with the exception of your cute little preggo belly – smiles), and I am not even pregnant! You look cute though. How do you maintain your cute figure while pregnant? You must have a secret (smiles)!
I also LOVED the crib your father made. It is very precious and wonderful!
BTW, do you know the sex of your child yet, or are you and your husband keeping that a surprise until the child’s birth day?
Lady S.,
You’re kind 😉
We’re just doing everything different this time–not finding out the sex either in addition to a natural birth (what has come over me?)
Actually, when we went in for the gender ultra sound, I wasn’t far enough along. Shortly after, we changed our minds about finding out. THEN, when our insurance was dropped, the fact that we couldn’t get another ultra sound didn’t matter (God had been working it all out!)
Everything will be one big surprise!
