I think it is of particular importance that we are constantly reminded of the importance of our jobs as wives because with so many duties pulling us in different directions, it is easy to place this relationship in an order of less importance; and yet, in the earthly realm, it is THE relationship that needs the most undergirding.
I believe our job as wives holds the thread of the home together; and not only that, but we our the loudest teachers, in our relationships to our husbands, that our children will hear. Our daughters are learning, from our behavior, how to treat their own husbands, and our sons are learning what kind of wife he should be looking for. We are not only building our own homes (or tearing them down), but are laying the foundation for the homes of our children!
I know, scary, isn’t it? I’ve been really convicted in some areas of my marriage, and so I thought a “live journal” of sorts would be a great way to teach myself!
So stay tuned for an intense look at Scripture regarding the role of a wife; prepare your hearts (and I’ll prepare mine) to rise up to the challenge before us. Whether you are struggling in your marriage, or have a wonderful one, your input will be greatly needed.

I completely agree! The role of wife is SO amazingly important. That’s why Karl Marx(and others) sought to begin the wide spread feminist movement. He wanted to abliterate Christianity from the face of the world, and he wanted to replace it with socialism and communism. He discovered that the only way he’d be successful in this was if he pointed all of his arrows at the highly influential, godly wives, mothers and homemakers of the world. And what’s so tragic is that Christians themselves are helping the late Mr. Marx in his mission against Christ!!
It’s pretty sad when pagans see the huge importance a wife has on society, when Christians themselves at times don’t even see it.
I’m only 15, and so obviously won’t be a wife for a few years, but I wholeheartedly look forward to your upcoming posts on this great subject!! I’m sure you have much wisdom to share with me, and I look forward to learning all I can about being a wonderful, Biblical wife.
May the Lord richly bless you, Mrs. Crawford!!

Looking forward to the rest of this series, Kelly. I think its an excellent idea.
I am excited as well for what is to come in this series! I was just telling a friend yesterday how I often feel I need more guidance as to the day to day tasks, etc that I am called to fulfill as a wife and mother. As one more seasoned than I, I know you will have wonderful things to say!
