Home motherhood/family/parenting Lead This Mother Higher

Lead This Mother Higher

by Kelly Crawford

I find myself asking the Lord to “lead me to the Rock” more and more as my children get older, and as new ones are added. It’s so difficult, isn’t it, to remember, in the midst of a harried day, or just in the “earthliness” of our flesh, that we are really here to do our part to glorify God? That all else is rubbish?

We let so much get in the way of the big picture–silly things that frustrate or cause us to say words we can’t take back.  We let so much distract us from nudging our little ones to glorify God in the moments.

“When my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.” Psalm 86:6

“Set your mind on things above…”
