“What now?” The world beats down the false message, sings the wrong song–hardly sings at all…all is noise and confusion…
…but through the cacophony He speaks…KEEP WALKING.
“Faithful is He who called you who also will do it.”
He’ll “do it”. It’s not up to me! My “success” or failure doesn’t depend on ME, it depends on my dependence on HIM!(Please remember that, my flesh-heart!)
So life is about pressing on toward the mark.
It’s about getting up in the morning, like every other morning, determined to live this day for Him; to be the wind in my husband’s sails, his comrade in life, his co-laborer.
It’s about hugging children, and smiling, and listening and correcting, and reminding them how to ask for things, and how to get chores done “in a timely manner”, and about saying “I’m sorry”, and explaining why all that’s important.
It’s about conversations with people, relationships, discipleship.
It’s about pointing to God’s divine wisdom in every detail of life, so that these precious ones in my care grow up with unshakable faith knowing that nothing happens without first passing through God’s sovereignty.
It’s about being available to a friend who is hurting; or offering kind words to someone distressed.
It’s about “feeding the hungry and clothing the naked”…there are hungry and naked children in my home!
It’s about the peace I have because God is over everything–the election, the economy, the personal details of my life–EVERYTHING…and I can rest.
“Be still my soul, the Lord is on your side.”

Beautiful reminder, Praise God that it’s not up to us.
