He is Able! Merry Christmas From Us!

by Kelly Crawford

Our family’s life verse is Ephesians 3:20…I put it on our Christmas cards this year, and probably on the last ones as well.

“To Him who is ABLE…”
I cannot describe how He’s proven this over and over to us through the years.

Seems our financial condition is one area where God is so prone to really put our faith to the test. This year has been no exception. With more comforts than the majority of the world will ever see (isn’t “prosperity” so relative?), we still face the financial struggles many Americans do. And we still haven’t gotten to the place where we’re able to brace for unexpected expenses (even though Dave Ramsey says “they’re coming!”) When the van breaks or the hot water heater in the rental house dies, and hubby has to miss three days of work plus the expense to take care of it all….well it leaves us wavering in our little faith.

But after surrendering our fears and worries once again, and petitioning to the Lord about our needs, He has done abundantly more than all we ask or even think. An extra job here, an unexpected gift there, another unexpected gift–that’s the God we serve. He just wants us to ask in humility and believe that He is able. Trusting Him for one day at a time, and not fretting about tomorrow. I know someone reading needs to hear that again…”Don’t fret about tomorrow.” You serve an able God…..wait for Him.

Dancin’ Queen (Tucker is the sweetest boy I know)

Davy Crockett, Um, I’ll get back on that one, Annie Oakley? (Was she a feminist? ;-), Buffalo Bill

My right-hand lady…quickly becoming a woman. She amazes me in every way.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Eph. 3:20-21).

Merry Christmas to all my blog friends!

Merry Christmas to you too! I can totally identify with being stretched financially this year as well, but God has provided exceedingly abundantly in ways we could never have imagined!
