“Our greatest hope for this book is that girls will come away with a deeper understanding and love for Scripture.” -Breezy Brookshire
Oh how I love this book. Every square inch. “Stories of Women from the Bible, retold for girls.”
Written by Selah singer Todd Smith’s wife, Angie, and magically illustrated by a friend of mine, Breezy Brookshire, For Such a Time as This makes history come alive for children and adults.
I don’t know if you did this, but for me, since before I could read, I loved flipping through Bibles with pictures. That was my first connection to stories that I would learn are true and miraculous. We forget how much our children connect images with words and this book, with its easy-to-read but true-to-history writing, and the beautiful illustrations, is a perfect combination for giving our children a new level of inspiration toward God’s Word.
When I got mine the other day, I piled the girls (and little boys) on my bed and I watched their eyes become mesmerized by the pages as I read the narratives from Scripture.
“…and also that women will feel a sense of urgency about praying over their daughters…to take the power of the Word of God and apply that in their parenting.” -Angie Smith
I have to rank For Such a Time as This as one of my all-time favorite books to have in our library and pore over with my children. You and and your children will be simply delighted. (Get your copy here.)

Hello! Thank you for letting us know about this. I’m excited to purchase a copy.
Hmmmm…I think Amazon is the only place it’s offered. You could always do what I do and add something I know I need (like toilet paper 😉 ) to your cart.
It can be found at major book stores like Barnes & Noble, Books a Million, and ChristianBook.com.
Thanks for such a lovely review. I might be a little biased ;), but I think it’s beautiful, too.
Hi Kelly, just a quick one to let you know that your blog continues to encourage and comfort me in this journey of Christ centred wifedom and motherhood. I love you and I will look you up when I visit America one day xxxx
You don’t know how much your encouragement means to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to write.
