“Number seven”…I smile while the stranger
scrambles for her words.
“But why…but how…bless your heart…better you than me…”
The chain of impulsive words ring little louder
than a faint hum in the background…
Because a different conversation is taking place.
Your gentle kick, then sweet hiccups–
“Mommy I’ll be in your arms soon.”
I smile at the gentle reminders of the life I carry inside.
Pregnant again? Yes, praise God!
Why?
God’s own reminder to me of His opinion
that the world needs another new,
fresh, radiant possibility…
And maybe just to say He loves me.

Beautiful!
Ah, his sweet, abundant blessings!
Congratulations!! We had our #7 in October (on the 3rd).. He was due in November but arrived 6 weeks early via emergency c-section due to complications.
You look so beautiful in your photos!
Praise GOD for bestowing on you and your family another blessing from HIM.
That’s really lovely!
What an amazingly beautiful post. I am so touched. May I link to it?

Congratulations!
Very beautiful!
You truly are beautiful! I’d give anything to be able to be pregnant again…and again…and again…
PRESS ON my fruitful friend!
I’ve got tears in my eyes.
Beautiful!
I would have been pregnant again, if cancer wouldn’t have put itself in the way.
But I’ll never forget those special moments, this deep gratitude.
Have a great weekend!
Love this. You look beautiful.
A beautiful and touching post. I thank the Lord for women such as yourself who follow the mother’s heart God gave to them and receive these precious blessings with open arms! God bless you and your family.
I can only imagine what a wonderful mother you surely are. Congratulations on #7. We have #4 with us and he too is “almost” our #4. That’s because our adoption is not final yet (working on it though, in God’s time).
Blessings,
~Toni~

You’re sweet, Elizabeth–thank you!
Oddly enough, these are the first “posed” pics I’ve ever done pregnant…I realized that the only ones I had were a few someone snapped of me when I was, you know, in the worst possible position, wearing some sort of tent-like contraption, no make-up and looking not-so-like the poster girl for the full quiver campaign 😉
