Hoping for Spilled Milk Again

by Kelly Crawford

Monday mornings are a part of life that tests who we really are…and I’m not always impressed.
If I could just wake up expecting the bowl of milk or the glass of juice to be knocked off in the floor…
If I could just prepare for 4 different voices calling “Mama” during the clean-up…

For a baby whose hungry and can’t wait until the floor is clean to eat her breakfast…
For the phone to ring simultaneously…
All this BEFORE coffee.
Maybe I’d prove to be more gracious, more patient and more forgiving of clumsy fingers and realize “it’s only spilled milk”.
And maybe, I could just smile while standing in the puddle, and say something really mother-brilliant like “I’m glad it was only a glass-full!”
Maybe I’ll get that chance again.

She also found my lipstick…not sure it’s her color though.

At least that cutie-pie is smiling!

Her mother must have been a sweet mommy. 🙂

I understand about the coffee. Don’t “cross me” before the coffee. =:-O

My children aren’t allowed to come downstairs or make noise before coffee consumption – but there are those days!

I’m just glad I’m not the only one.

I don’t think you are alone when it comes to Monday mornings. I’m usually more irritated on Monday, and I don’t know why. I guess I’ll just have to keep working on remembering and practicing the fruits of the spirit, especially on Mondays (smiles).

Also, I started to laugh out loud when I saw your daughter trying-out your new lipstick, ha! She’s a cutie-pie (smiles).

LOL – I hear ya!
I have a 2 week old baby girl who won’t let me sleep at night, and an active 2.5 and 1.5 yr old…
My days go very similar, except you have the added advantage of being a coffee drinker – I can’t stand the stuff…
