Hope, redemption, grace, cost. Dr. Rosaria Butterfield talks about her journey from a lesbian and gay activist, to meeting Jesus and what Christianity costs us. Her beautiful testimony is an encouragement no matter who you are, reminding us all that Jesus is the only safe place to run to, the only place where real joy can be found, and He’s worth it all.
She challenges me to evaluate my love for the Savior, to question, “Am I really willing to lose important things, if I’m called to that, for Him?”
SO worth the few minutes.
“I really thought I was on the good team…and it was a really disarming truth that it had been Jesus I was persecuting the whole time.”

Wow. Powerful and sobering.
What am I willing to give up to follow after Christ with all my heart, to walk in complete repentance? Am I really willing to suffer the cost of total surrender to Christ, or do I just say I am?
This short talk really stretched me. Thanks for sharing, Kelly.
You and me both, 6 arrows.
Thanks, Kelly. Powerful words that need to be heard. The peace of God has no price…from one who lost everything but the dog. That.
Goodness! Thank you for posting this it is quite thought provoking. As I ask myself how would I answer her survey question about what did/do I give up to be a follower of Christ? I am thankful to have had the opportunity to hear her speak, and yes, humbled as well.
