Now that baby Kaid is here, I will be taking a blogging break for the rest of the summer to adjust, recover, and enjoy my growing family. (If you missed our wild adventure, you can read it here.) But I’m leaving you some links I think you will enjoy! Some are from my archives, others are gems I’ve scoured from various places. All, I hope, will grow you, inspire you, encourage you and challenge you. Feel free to leave comments–I will be here, checking in, handling any purchasing/advertising questions and such, I’m just taking a writing break.
So, dive in!
*I’ll be adding more links throughout the coming weeks, so be sure to check back often and share any you think others will appreciate!*

Congratulations, Kelly and Aaron! Welcome, Kaid! Thanks for sharing your story, Kelly! 🙂
Very good idea! ENJOY your baby! “Cherish the moment, soon you’ll be apart. Cling to the memory, clasp it to your heart. Soon comes the day when you’ll have no child to hold, so cherish, cherish the moment!” Ron Hamilton There is a you tube video of this song sung by Ron and I believe his grand daughter -beautiful!
Oh my!! What a sweet little chin! I imagine you just get engulfed with love every time you set eyes on him!
These little ones are such a blessing. Even when times are difficult–we recently lost some older family members. At the services, the presence of our many little ones brought many smiles and even a few laughs through the sadness. It was as though God sent these little ones as His ambassadors of hope.
God bless you and your family.
“Ambassadors of hope”…love it! That is precisely what life is–hope for tomorrow.
Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your family. Little (BIG?!) Kaid is precious and quite handsome. I look forward to you blogging through the newborn stage again. 🙂
Kelly – Enjoy our little “break” – which we ALL know isn’t really a break! 🙂 Take some time to smell the roses & enjoy the baby! I had been taking a short break from Internet fora few weeks to enjoy the fmaily & get our garden going good. I can only imagine how much more you need it with 10 little ones! (Well, some not so little, but you know what I mean!)
Enjoy your time! Your break will give me a chance to get caught up with the blog since I had taken my break. I hope you have a blast with the family. You deserve the break!
Congratulations on your precious Kaid! So very wise to take a writing break. Still, I have a feeling that you, like so many writers I’ve read about, write always ~ in your head. I loved reading your wild birth story! Had to read the part about your husband driving so fast and the napkins in the glove box to my husband. So funny ~ and he could really relate. Thanks for the wonderful links. Love this quote from Karen Andreola’s blog by George Eliot. Perfect for you right now:
“I think my life began with waking up and loving my mother’s face.”
Claudia,
Ah, loved that quote! Thank you. And yes, writing in my head is a very real part of my life (that’s why I started the blog). You know me. I love friends like you I’ve made here!
Yes, enjoy your sweet baby! I am 41 (had my last baby at 39). We chose to adopt after our last baby but I always felt that God had another blessing for us. Maybe there is still a chance… : )
Sorry. My name went to the wrong link in the last post. Has been corrected with this post. That’s what happens when I post in a hurry and distracted!
