Have you ever been asked to make a list of your priorities? Every one of us (Christians) have made “God”, or “My relationship with God”, our #1 entry.
May I submit that it is not a biblical answer to place God as our #1 priority? In fact, He should not even be on the list!
He IS our list. To number Him places Him in a category, separates Him, in a sense, reduces Him to an item to be checked off.
God must encompass the list…this is a true Christian world-view, one of which, sadly, many Christians are not embracing.
He must envelop all than I am, all that I do, all of my life. Every decision, every motive, every action needs to be measured in the light of God’s Word. EVERYTHING.
Food for thought!

Thank you for posting this. I have often felt guilty for not even thinking about puting God on my list but truth be told everything I do and strive to do is to be a servant to him.
i have heard a great illustration once…….that its not even a list……but picture a wheel. he is everything in that circle. then there are many ‘spokes’ to that wheel. he is the axle on which that entire wheel gains its momentum and energy. each ‘priority’is a piece of pie……a portion of the wheel. because on any given day, prioroties to a degree need to be revamped and questioned, given what comes our way that day….some pieces of pie overlap each other at times…..it allows for some fluidity in our wheel.
Very good point of view!
