Go Change Your World

by Kelly Crawford

Just for the record, I’m tired. In every way. I’m going to try to pull out of the Palin debate because it has been so exhausting to me mentally and emotionally. So if you leave another comment about it, don’t be offended if I don’t respond 😉
As a woman who struggles trying to balance the normal load of caring for a family with the additional burden of “life’s crises” that seem to be always weighing upon me, I find it difficult to juggle those sometimes.
I cannot neglect my greater duty of serving this family for “speaking out about the cause”, or that makes me guilty of the very thing I write about!
With that said, I still feel overwhelmingly convinced that we need to keep our minds sharpened with the knowledge and truth of God’s Word. We cannot succumb to apathy, just because we’re tired, or because we’re discouraged.
We must raise a generation of children who can rebuild the foundations…and I am very encouraged that there are hundreds–no, thousands of you out there who are willing to do just that. That’s the hard stuff. It’s the stuff you probably won’t receive an applaud for, or a paycheck, or the media’s approval.
But your determination to roll up your sleeves , love and serve that family, reach out to those around you and stand for Christ among the remnant is far more powerful than any office you could hold.
We will rise again. Press on!

My dear sister Kelly
GO REST and take care of your family. I too have read and particiapated in all this hype of Palin and I am tired. It is amazing how quickly that we can become what we judge in our attitude alone! So I encourage you to do just what the Lord is showing you. I think that we can change the world living what we believe and there are bunches of us out there! So be encouraged and always know that your words and thoughts are shared by many that enjoy hearing your thoughts…

Thank you so much Kelly. It has been a pleasure reading your comments this past week. You did a wonderful job articulating how many of us feel. This post was very comforting to me. I felt tired today as well. I felt drained…drained by the events of the past week and drained by things happening in my own home. Your post greatly encouraged me. Thanks so much. God Bless.

Kelly,
Thank you so much for the time you have taken with your responses as well as your well written articles.
I, too, am tired from all of this and I believe the arguments are exhaustive. You have stated your opinion(as well as many of ours) well.
So, go rest and be a mommy and a wife to the best of your ability. I look forward to a fresh conversation and I know the encouragement to come.
Thanks again,
Mamma J

Thank you for standing up for truth. Go and rest, my friend. Know that you have done well. 🙂
