- Generate your own copywork pages at WorksheetWorks. I love being able to prepare print and cursive sheets with lined paper. I use the Proverbs for our copywork in addition to the younger ones copying name, birthday, months of the year, etc. So easy and fast! Besides copywork sheets, there are hundreds of other great resources to devour. Maps, states and capitals, math problems, English worksheets, etc.
- Get the FREE ebook, Smooth and Easy Days by Sonya Shafer explaining Charlotte Mason’s secret to “smooth and easy days”…a book about developing good habits in ourselves and our children. This is a gem!
- Starfall: our favorite site for the little ones just learning to read.

Please, oh, please….can someone tell me if there is an on-line, free latin root based vocab/spelling appropriate for a 6th grader? Figured I’d put it out in this community….
Great post, I will check the other free stuff out!
Thanks!!!
I’m looking for the one we used last year, but here are a couple more I found:

Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving a comment!
I love freebies & have a long list of them on my own site. I spent a long time on Worksheet Works yesterday making math worksheets, now that you reminded me I need to go back today & make copywork pages too!
Blessings!
Thank you!!!! Those sites are wonderful. Who says home-schooling has to be expensive?!
Thank you!
Simply Charlotte Mason and StarFall are Homeschooling Tool faves here too!
I can’t wait to check out Simply Charlotte Mason, thank so much for the recommendation.
We love Starfall and another good one is ABC Teach. So much great stuff on there, loads and loads of free stuff, but I have actually paid the $30 or so for a years’ membership to access everything. It’s been one of the best investments I’ve made for our homeschool. Here’s the link: http://www.abcteach.com/
Thanks for sharing the free resources! So far I have managed to do 3 years (going on my 4th) homeschooling my babies from 2 years of pre-k into k and one starting 1st this year for a budget of under $300 for ALL of those years combined and that includes all of their supplies and printing/laminating fees.. The free tools out there (especially for younger ages) are definite money savers.
Also I just found something that you all might be aware of but I wasnt http://internet4classrooms.com Awesome site with lots of resources. I used it to help plan my 1st graders work for the entire coming year.
Thanks, Kelly! We’re just starting Pre-K3 with our oldest this year, and I’m kind of doing everything from scratch (ie no curriculum) but I know almost nothing about homeschooling. Every little bit adds to my confidence, so thank you 🙂
Hi, Kelly. So sweet of you to share these. Both yesterday (Friday) and today, I couldn’t get the Smooth and Easy Days link to work. Any ideas?
Also, thanks for the Latin and Greek roots urls. I’ve been needing some good resources on the subject, and haven’t really found what I need, but these all look new. I’m going to check them out for sure!
That link is working for me so I don’t know what’s wrong.
I have been looking and looking for a website that I could type in our current memory verse for penmanship practice. THANK YOU!!!
