Today’s Benefit:
Laughter! Children do and say the funniest things, that who can imagine life without their unexpected, irresistible little idiosyncrasies? We don’t even have a television (well, there are other reasons too, but…) because the level of entertainment is so monumental in our house! In those moments when one of my little ones pronounces a word wrong (Mom, can I have Yucky Charms for breakfast?), or makes a face that melts a mother’s heart, I am reminded of the promises of Scripture: “Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them”…”He shall bring delight to thy soul…”
I think it is no mistake that our loving, creative Heavenly Father delights in giving us joy through our children, even in the small moments of life. Sometimes, though, we must stop, and listen closely, and soak in those sweet moments.

That is precious! People have told me, “You must have fun at Christmas!” I say “Christmas” lasts all year at our house. It is very seldom lonely or dull with our house full of creative, enthusiastic, and energetic children.
I love this one! I only have two children (though a third on the way), and although toddlers can be exhausting, I often wonder- is there a more hilarious human being on the planet?
I’ve noticed that families that continue to grow (therefore often having a toddler in their midst) socialize together more, play together more and definitely laugh more! By the time my two sisters and I were teens we would not seek out each other’s company very often, preferring our own rooms and pursuing our own interests.
How I pray that God continues to bless our family with little ones as the years go on! I am so blessed my little one’s and their games, laughter and tiny trusting hands holding mine.
